2012 is the 8th edition of the master class Information Security Management at the Antwerp Management School where I am the main coordinator for the content and the speakers, together with Prof. Dr. Steven De Haes and Prof. Dr. Wim Van Grembergen.

This is the second part of the 8 day program.

Information security/protection and good management for each organization has become an important topic. This domain is currently facing a number of substantial challenges, such as:

The ever-changing risks as a result of technological, legal, demographic and socio-economic evolutions;
The increasingly high demands of the business world, that "zero tolerance" uses on IT problems and disasters;
New laws and regulations that prove more explicit questions in connection with the control of risks within organisations;
The increasing need of organizations to more online mobile and digital information and interactivity with other (external) parties at once linked to transparent cost control;
Insight to fast and flexible new technologies with the correct information security/protection roles in an organization.
The result is that the management a robust policy to protect against all kinds of practical information to internal and external threats such as errors, loss, unauthorized modifications or dissemination of sensitive information.
