Marc Vael will be participating as one of the keynote speakers in an online session at the INFOSECURITY 2012 virtual conference in a panel session on privacy, compliance and the EU.

2012 is the 8th edition of the master class Information Security Management at the Antwerp Management School where I am the main coordinator for the content and the speakers, together with Prof. Dr. Steven De Haes and Prof. Dr. Wim Van Grembergen.

This is the first part of the 8 day program.

In this SAI workshop, the topics BCM & DRP will be handled. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a process that identifies potential threats to an organization and determines what the effects on the business activities if the threats would manifest itself in reality. Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) is part of BCM and includes the whole of measures that the planned recovery, after the action of calamity or disaster, on a quick and efficient manner. Within IT are both BCM as DRP extremely important considerations.
