After briefing by the general manager, I got access to all personnel and all facilities to assess the current situation of the IT Disaster Recovery Preparedness and interviewed IT staff and business department heads and users of IT in order to deliver an extensive audit report with more than 250 control points of which 80 observations remained for improvement.  In order to help the general manager, I also made a risk analysis for each audit obervation including suggestions for improvement, suggestion on risk criticality, suggestion on complexity to execute the improvement and a suggestion of cost.  In the end it was clear that looking for an external professional partner was one of the main solutions for improving the situation.
